    BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIRMENTS:
    Manage and supervise the indoor aquatic swim lessons and programs offered by the Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks and Recreation Department held at the Romeo Middle School Pool.

    Preferred aquatic pool experience/knowledge. Willing to train and certify the right person.

    You are expected to be organized, have excellent communication skills, capable of multi-tasking assignments, people orientated, self motivated and have the ability to manage staff/volunteers. Certification or willing to complete these continuing education, training and certifications will be requested: First Aid, CPR and AED certification for the Professional Rescuer (adult, child, and infant) preferred. LG, LGI, WSI, and WSIT.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
    Create, plan, implement, supervise and evaluate all aquatic lessons and programs including exercise and community swim parties at the pool.

    Hire, fire, schedule pool staff – Monitor & record staff certification status

    Assist RCS Pool Manager in topics related to the pool usage, upkeep and monitoring of mechanics.

    Assist with inventory, organization and inspection of the pool storage, deck & water

    Enforce all facility policies and procedures.

    Handle emergency situations quickly and efficiently.

    Supervision of staff, certification, training and onsite daily evaluations.
    Market all aquatic program and pool schedules
    Communicate with users

    Willing to learn RecPro Registration and with our NIXLE Information Outreach

    Have the ability to manage without or under limited supervision

    Assist in the Parks & Recreation office with registrations, refunds, credits, online request, phones and in house questions about the aquatic programs.

    Assist with scheduling, supervision and coaching while working in or with our Swim Club.

    Swimming Preliminaries 9:00 A.M.
    Diving Warm-Up Approx Noon or 15 minutes after last prelim event
    Prelim Diving 1:30 P.M or after a 90 Minute Diving Warm Up. (8 Dives- Top 12 to Finals)

    Diving Format: 8 Dives in Prelims, top 12 to finals, 3 Dives after the 50 Free for the finals (If coaches agree, we will allow divers with 6 dives to compete. If any 6 dive divers qualify for finals, they will dive their last dive during finals.

    Swimming Format: UNLIMITED ENTRIES PER EVENT INCLUDING RELAYS. A competitor shall be permitted to swim a MAXIMUM of 4 events and no more than two may be individual events.

    Seeding: Preliminaries will be seeded using Meet Manager. The finals will be top 12 in each event. The first heat of the finals will be consolation and place 7-12. The second heat of the finals will be the championship heat and place 1-6.

    Scoring: Team scores will be kept.
    Awards: Medals: 1st through 6th Place. Ribbons 7th through 12th place. Team trophies for top three places.
    Entry Fee $175 per team
    Concessions: Available throughout the day

    Locker Rooms: Available, please bring your own lock- The pool deck will be crowded, please use your designated seating area including the benches near the pool. Please use the benches as part of your seating, not for your bags, etc
